My Response To The Death of Charlie Kirk

I have been trying to find the right words as I hear about the death of Charlie Kirk. I was scheduled to hear Charlie Kirk speak in person at a conference next weekend, so this hit me like a ton of bricks. My stomach hurts as I type this. I'm angry. But as I've been watching people give tributes to Charlie Kirk, I've been thinking how to respond myself. The worst thing anyone could do is resort to violence. Regardless of whether you are a fan of Charlie Kirk or not, murder is not the answer. Charlie Kirk was a young conservative male and so am I. The thought that you can be killed simply by speaking about what you believe is a sobering reminder that the world we live in is full of pure unfiltered evil. Does that mean that you should stay silent and not speak out about anything? Of course not. As Christians we are called not to stay silent in the presence of evil. The best way to honor Charlie Kirk is to speak out and not stay silent. I saw a post on social media that I...

What Really Happened To Kentucky Speedway

Kentucky Speedway is a racetrack that opened in 2000 to host NASCAR and IndyCar races. The track closed in 2020, but most people don't know the reason it closed. I did some research and here's what really happened to Kentucky Speedway. When talking about Kentucky Speedway, most people refer to the first NASCAR Cup Series race held there in 2011. That race was mostly known for traffic issues that resulted in several fans not being able to get in to the race, despite having already bought tickets. Kentucky Speedway also lost its IndyCar race after that year. Those things were a major setback for Kentucky Speedway, but that did not get the track shut down. Kentucky Speedway is located in a small city called Sparta, which is about halfway between Louisville and Cincinatti . Most people think Kentucky Speedway didn't survive because it's in a rural location, but that's not the reason. There are several racetracks across the United States that are in rural locations tha...

Admitting My Big Mistake

Have you ever felt like you made the wrong decision in life? Do you ever wonder how your life could be different if you could change any one decision you've made in your life? I'm going to share something that's been on my heart for a very long time. In 2015 I had the opportunity to move to Texas. I prayed about it, but I didn't go. I stayed in Georgia where I was living at the time. I thought that was the right decision, but nothing worked out. I couldn't get a job, I wasn't able to attend a Christian college I was looking into, and I felt like I was accomplishing nothing in life. I kept thinking about my decision not to move to Texas, so in 2017 I decided to move to Texas. For some reason I backed out at the last minute. I don't remember what my reason for doing so was, but I almost instantly regretted not going. I was in a very lonely place in life, and I didn't know what to do. I prayed that God would show me something. I knew I was facing the conse...

A Problem In The SBC That No One is Talking About

The Southern Baptist Convention has been under both controversy and investigation in recent years. But there's one thing that no one has talked about that could be the common denominator in all of it. There's been plenty of talk about how Russell Moore tried to falsely accuse several people of covering up sexual abuse. Including Mike Stone, a man I have known for years and have a ton of respect for. I was a member of Mike Stone's church from 2010 to 2018, and I learned so much during my time there. It was there that I started to take my faith seriously, as well as learning the importance of having a Biblical worldview. The false claims that Russell Moore made about Mike Stone made me examine whether or not I even wanted to remain in the SBC at all. The church I was attending at the time these false accusations occurred mostly took a moderate approach to this, and I ultimately started attending another church in 2024 when I knew for sure that this was the direction they wer...

What Kentucky won't tell you about Andy Beshear

I've been waiting a long time to speak about this. Andy Beshear was elected governor of Kentucky in 2019 and again in 2023. Kentucky wants you to believe that Andy Beshear is the nicest guy in the world, but there are many things Kentucky won't tell you about Andy Beshear. Andy Beshear was one of the first governors in the United States that ordered churches to close at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. He ordered churches to close before he ordered anything else to close. He even ordered police to give tickets to people who attended a church service on Easter. And yet, many people who regularly attend church not only agreed with Andy Beshear's decision, but even encouraged it more. Many have been deceived by the fact that Andy Beshear made it seem like he was keeping people safe, and they claim that he did such a good job by doing so. They claim that he's a good man because he sometimes acknowledges God, but simply acknowledging God does not make someone a Christia...
